Vandal Switch installation

I'm having troubles installing a Vandal Switch (momentary) with LED. I have an Asus B550-I mb and I've attached a copy of the headers from the manual. I got the LED part ok but can't seem to get the power on. I've tried just about every combination between NC, NO and C with the mb's headers and the best I'm able to get when I press the power button is 2-3 seconds of power and then it shuts off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yup, sounds like it's not actually a momentary one.

That's a good question. I know I ordered a momentary switch but they may have sent a latching switch - I don't remember. I'll check and thanks for your help!.

An alternate vandal switch will usually pop in or out slightly when activating, if it is you could double tap it to make it act like a momentary for testing.

 

You should be on Normally Open, 1 wire to C, 1 wire to NO on the switch, they both go to PWRBTN header, no polarity so doesn't matter which way.
