Hello everyone

I got my new 10GbE connection to my truenas Server up and running and I'm running in some problems here.

Accessing the network folder ist extremely slow in the best case and in the worst it makes the file explorer freeze.

First I figured that there's some problems with my MTU settings since there were some issues with higher values before, but after resetting it back to default it still doesn't work.

I should note, that it was working fine for some time at first, the issue came up today. I'm also having troubles with the Windows update failing - maybe there's a correlation?

I disconnected the Network Share and connected it again when I got this error:

local_device_name_in_use.png

For some reason another Share on the Same Server that's running over the old regular connection works fine

Any suggestions?

Can you ping that ip?

Whats your network look like? Does it connect with the IP correctly?

I got two connections to the server:

  1. My regular LAN network. Ping is there, this is the connection on which the share works.
  2. A P2P 10GbE connection, ping is also there, I can connect to the share with credentials and so on, mut when I want to access folders, it's just loading and loading and will eventually freeze after some time.

Are those connections on different subnets?

Id use the ip on the p2p 10gbe link.

Yes, the Shares are connected via both conections via their respective IPs.

Yes, the 10Gbe is a different subnet

It doesnt work at all on the 10gbe IP, on the regular connection it works sometimes.

Well from your screenshot it looks like its connecting to a hostname, not a IP, try connecting to the ip directly.
