I am building a pc for high end gaming reasons and all I need is a cpu.  My motherboard supports LG1151 sockets and would like some opinions.  My gpu is a Zotac Twin Edge GeForce RTX 3060 if that helps and the motherboard is an MSI B360-A Pro.

Is the board is updated then something like a 9600k would probably be a good pairing with the 3060,

High end gaming? 9900k. No other cpu there supports multi threading, and depending on your current cpu anything else might not be significant enough of an upgrade to be worth it.

What CPU are you currently running?

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

9900k on a b360-a-pro... yeah, might not work so great.
