Hey all, looking to get either the Tuf Gaming X570-Plus wifi or Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro. The wifi is a plus, but wifi cards are cheap so it's not a big deal for me (no store in my country has the aorus board with wifi in stock). Which of these two would be a better option paired with a 5600x? I dislike the yellow accents on the TUF board, but at this price point I dont think there's much point in being picky about aesthetics. Thanks in advance!

There is very little reason to get an X570 board, especially with a 5600x. If you need wifi the B550M-PRO-VDH-WFI https://pcpartpicker.com/product/PDsnTW/msi-b550m-pro-vdh-wifi-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b550m-pro-vdh-wifi

But, it only has wifi 5 and is micro ATX, although it is a pretty great board for the price! If you need Wifi 6 and ATX then here are some good options -

I'm looking to the X570 platform mainly due to the PCIE 4.0 support, I'm not looking to upgrade my computer for quite a long time (current PC is still running after 10 years) so the future-proofing in that is really desirable to me.

Then I'm completely confused, what's the point of x570 then? Is it just better for overclocking at higher price points?

B550 was released a few months after X570 did. When X570 released, only it supported PCIe 4.0. The difference between X570 and B550 is that the PCIe lanes routed through the chipset are 4.0 for X570, and 3.0 for B550.

There's a few other differences (like that only one B550 board supports SLI but most X570 boards do), that B550 boards can have a max of 6 SATA ports, and that X570 boards tend to have much less, if not none, USB 2.0 ports, but the PCIe lane chipset thing is the main difference.

PLEASE STOP [Killing] ME I WILL GIVE Y OU ANOTHER DEAL.

Not really, B550 has very similar VRMS too X570 lol. X570 came out way before B550 so before that the only way to get PCIE 4.0 was X570, but now they both have PCIE 4.0, and B550 is usually much cheaper. Thats why most people on here dont recommend X570 (unless its a very high end build)

Dang no kidding, I can get that asus board with wi-fi for the same price as the board I just returned. I wish it came in the white/silver colour that the 550-a does. I'll be picking up that one thanks for the help!

What was the original board you refunded?

MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge WIFI. I was concerned with the VRM temperatures some people were seeing, I figured it's better to get a different board than to worry about it overheating if I end up overclocking the CPU. Also as I'm going for a white-themed build and these boards are way more affordable, is the Asus B550-a any good? Seems very similar to the Asus board you sent just without wifi and with a different colour scheme.
