Hi all,

I currently have a gtx 470 and used to have 2 but one broke :(. I currently have 1 1080p monitor for gaming but am adding a second 1080p or 1440p monitor.

Do you think I should try and find a cheap 470 and sli again or sell my current one and buy a new gpu eg 770 oe 870 (when its released)

I play a wide range of games and do quite a lot of editing.

Thanks.

A friend of mine owns a 770 and can game on 1080p with max settings on just about every game he throws at it. I don't know what games you play and how demanding they are, but DayZ (a title renowned for its demanding graphics) he has been able to play at 60fps on 1080p with med-high settings.

If you can wait a few weeks you will be able to pick up an 870 (presumably similar to a 780) for the 770 price.

What makes you recommend them? and do you think the 4GB version will be worth it as im probably getting a 1440p monitor

They have the best cooler, warranty, and support.

You mean the 4gb 770?

Then yep, just get the one I linked or save and get the 780, there's no point in spending $450 on a 770 when you can spend $350.

ok, probbaly going to have to wait a few months to save anyway so hopefully 800 series will be out and i can either get cheap 770 or get the 870
