Surface Pro 7 i7 Alternative?

Hi All

 

I'm just about to get an insurance refund of the Surface Pro 7 i7 16GB 256 (£1500 / $2000) - my question is, do I replace like for like or do I get something else. I wouldn't mind a better GPU, but I also like the slimline and 2 in 1 style of the Surface Pro. Is there anything else this is slimline, 2 in 1 with an nvida or amd gpu? I've had a look and its a minefield! I could switch to a laptop if the processing power warranted it. Use case is work, music production and some gaming (not high end, gaming PC is for that).

I've heard Surfaces are kinda overpriced. You might want to look at some Ryzen laptop since AMD's integrated graphics are pretty viable for gaming and I'm sure they're better than what Intel has to offer in comparable CPUs.

I'm thinking of this: Asus ROG Flow X13 Ryzen 9 16GB 512GB SSD GTX 1650 13.4" Win10 Home Gaming Laptop given its the same price as the surface pro

I have the X13, and honestly its amazing. The 1650 performs better than I expected and the cpu is a beast. The ability to use a touchscreen that folds into a tablet with a pen is underrated as well. My only complaint about it is that the screen (in some rare situations) could be brighter. But i would choose the X13 everytime.
