Specs:
CPU – 5900x no OC
GPU – RTX 3090
RAM – 2X8 3600Mhz CL16
Cooler – H100i platinum
PSU – HX850 (old was a C750)
Drives – 2 x 500GB NVME
OS – win 10
Mobo – x570 tomahawk wifi (latest bios)

Due to some issues I decided to replace my PSU. Installed the PSU today and it all went easy enough. Turned the PC on and within 1 minute it turned off due to CPU temps.

Figured something must not be plugged in properly. Unplugged and plugged everything back in a couple times and the issue is still there.

Reseat the CPU, reapply thermal paste and tighten AIO with no effect.

Other things I've tried:

- CMOS reset

- Using a different cooler (D15s)

- Using the old PSU

- Changing cables

CPU according to bios isn't going over more than 0.9v. The AIO fans are working but nothing is showing up in the CPU fans area of BIOS but it was before. One tube gets hot and the pump slightly vibrates.

CPU climbs at about 1 degree every 1-2 seconds so I can't do much and I have no idea what to do, has something died in the process of me changing a Psu?

1. Make sure you didn't mix the 8-pin PCIE power and the 8-pin CPU power, the pins are different so you shouldn't be able to unless you force it.

2. Make sure you didn't mix the cables from the old PSU with the new ones. The pin-out on the PSU end might be different between brands. (i think Jayztwocents experienced this once and fried a ssd)

Edit: If non of the above, try toggle the 12V switch on the PSU to "multiple". That limits each cable to 40A
