Hello, this is my first time posting in these forums. I looked for something that would help me understand what's happening but I couldn't find anyone experiencing anything similar at all so I thought I'll post here where people are more knowledgeable with pcs.

So this is what's happening. I got the Warzone the other day and I was playing around in the zombies mode as well as the small island battle royal. The game runs smooth, no problem at all in any other mode. However, when I play plunder or br on the big map it runs fine and then the FPS tanks to like 1 to 4 fps for a good 30 secs or a min and goes back to normal. I don't have problems with any other game or any other mode in CoD itself.

I'll post any additional info if needed, I just don't think it's my pc specs because I do have a beast.

Could be just game related, maybe adjust your ingame settings.

Tried that, doesn't help. But I didn't think it would. It's very strange because it runs smooth and then it tanks and then it runs smooth again. I do think it's game related because a friend of mine has almost identical pc and he is having no issues. I'm just so confused 😄

There is a video where a tech youtuber has the same issue. You can try that fix. Go to \Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players and edit adv_options.ini . Change RendererWorkerCount = to the number of your CPU cores. Try this fix and see if you see any changes.

Yeah found that last night. Went to that file and it was already set to the correct number of physical cores.
