Help, system doesn’t post or boot

Kidplayer_1204

I just got an old pc with a second gen i5. It stopped booting. It’s clean, there appears to be no obvious damage. This is what I’ve done in order to try and troubleshoot.

The psu is a cheap unit that came included. Since it’s my first desktop, I don’t know whether the psu is supposed to make a small click like noise (more acute, like the one CRT’s sometimes done when turning on) every time I press the power button. I was only able to hear the noise after the system stopped booting because the fans don’t start up at all in any part of the PC so I’m not sure whether it’s normal or not.

I tried different combos with the two sticks of ram I have, and still nothing.

The motherboard appears to be getting power as an LED lights up. Not the graphics card as I tested the iGPU and still nothing.

Any idea what could be the most probable cause?
