Shadowplay issues

So ever since I wiped my windows for my 3070 I've found 2 "broken" things I can't figure out
1) For some reason shadowplay doesn't record any desktop footage anymore - yes, I've toggled the resolution to be "ingame resolution" doesn't work, and it did before fine on my 2060.
2) Some games (namely Witcher 3) when I hit alt + z to save the clip, it'll tab out of the game, therefor not letting me save clips, cause of mentioned above it's not really a game, it's trying to save the desktop clips but it can't - I've also wiped the regedit 2 things for file destination on clip saves.

Any ideas where to start? It's weird cause I could save desktop clips before, and it was even on 1440p capture on my 1080 monitor (was hoping for a slightly better quality, didn't happen lols) kinda stumped what to try now

Did you actually enable desktop capture at the very bottom of the settings menu under privacy? Because it sure sounds like you didn't.

Bruuh thank you, I F***in knew it was something so simple i missed. Huge thanks I never had to enable that the first time about a year ago so I wasn't even ever looking in privacy settings, you the man

I would have never guessed this from the problem description

well for 'problem' number 2? you can just use a shortcut to save footage, like F8 saves last 10 minutes and F9 starts / stops recording, for example. F7 is screenshots btw

Sorry for the late reply but Yep lol guess that was all it was, and that fixed the witcher for caps cause it can capture desktop too now, doesn't tab out of the game either to stop it so seemed to fix both at once kind of like expected.
