My pc doesn’t feel smooth anymore hasn’t felt smooth for almost 2 yrs now I tried reinstalling windows and the gpu nothing really fixed it also I had my pc on my carpet for 2 yrs I didn’t know it was bad for it so that could of been a cause since my built in Bluetooth no longer works.

looking to buy a new pc I have a budget around 1.3k usd I’m from the us and I would like to play games at 1440p 144hz

If you've had the machine on a carpet, have you just opened it up and dusted it?

Possibly it's just overheating because dust is caught in the fans and vents.

 

In any case you probably don't need to replace the whole thing. At the very least you can keep your case and PSU.

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

this is my monitor also AW2518Hf 240hz 1080p I would prefer to keep this pc instead of buying a new one since of the overpriced pc parts atm anyway i can try and fix my stuttering or whatever is causing my pc to feel so slow even tho i have high fps?
