PC not booting

So I have a ga-q87m-d2h motherboard worked fine for a while then one day didn't want to post so tried clearing the cmos, re seating the cpu, one ram stick in each slot and only plugged in necessary devices so I removed it and forgot about it. Then after a couple of months l stumbled upon the poor thing and gave it second try and it posted said something about looks like your bios has been reset and worked fine for a month then the same thing no post.  Any idea what could be wrong.
