Since there has been a lot of price changes on products and lots of new product releases, the exact specs in that video are no longer entirely relevant ($250 for a 160 GB SSD? 'Glad those days are gone). It's still a good video about how to build a PC, but if you're looking for more up-to-date suggestions for an upcoming build, we can help you out with that..

Any reason you want to swap the CPU to a 2-year old non-OC CPU and put an MATX board in a full size ATX case?

Just go with SAV1OUR's suggestion, and change the case to the NXZT H440. Otherwise leave everything else the same.. (You can always buy a larger capacity HDD if you need)

I recommend a less expensive motherboard, no sense is getting something overpriced that will perform the same.  The one I picked out is SLI capable, in case you want to do that in the future. (Would need a better PSU 650W+)

Unless you plan on doing some extreme overclocking, go with the Hyper 212 EVO, absolute best dollar to performance, and you can achieve very nice overclocks with this particular cooler.

RAM is RAM, just get the least expensive 4GBx2 1600Mhz, 9-9-9-24 RAM you can find.

Can also go with a less expensive PSU, a Corsair CX600M will do just fine.  I've noticed the price on these went up lately, you used to be able to find this exact model for $40.

I always advise to get 2TB of HDD to start, its only $20 more for double the storage, better to have it now than need it later and spend double.

Case is another area where you can save, it is an aesthetics thing, it doesn't directly impact performance, although airflow is always nice.  The same argument could be made to get a more expensive case, because it can be used over and over again in future builds.  The case I selected is very nice, very popular, and very inexpensive.

Overall, this build will perform the same as the one in the video at 80% of the proposed price.  If you live near a Micro Center, pick up an i5-4670k in-store for even more savings.
