No "Thread was moved" message

Go to solution Solved by LogicalDrm,

As @Spotty noted, due to negative feedback we don't leave moved links to GD.

I do leave them to other subforums, hoping it would teach people. So far no such luck. For example Operating Systems and PC Gaming are other notable places for thread dumping. Also custom water cooling people leave their topics in main Cooling subforum time to time.

What happened?

Thread from moved from GD, but there was no "moved to xxx message on GD"

What did you expect to happen?

something like this

@LogicalDrmit was moved from GD right?

I noticed i can no longer find some threads in GD, but there was no message of it being moved

sometimes i navigate to it from my past activity list, and found the thread moved, but no mod post signifying that it moved. (though this is a manual process so i can see why sometimes it's missing)

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I think they have to tick a box during the move process to leave the forwarding link? Maybe someone just forgot to tick the box?

It's an option, yes.

For topics posted in general discussion we typically don't leave the notice that it was moved. We used to do it but we received a fair amount of feedback that people didn't like seeing all of the notices. When we did leave the notices quite often the entire first page of general discussion would be nothing but move notices.
