I have Acer Predator Helios 300 or Predator PH315-52,the one with the rtx 2060,i7 9750h and 500 gb ssd, which i bought in april of 2020 and on august i started having problems with it, whenever i played games they would crash my pc ultimatly giving a bluescreen, then my pc would restart to fast and its almost impossible to check the error, and whenever it restarted it has a possibility to fail the restart and show no bootable device error, but if i waited a bit and started the pc it would boot just fine. That problem with games crashing stopped after some weeks, and now on ive been getting the same errors all over again, and idk what to do my drivers are fine ive checked the memory, and im sure i dont have a virus or anything like that, i just dont know wat to do to stop this annoying error.

Also im from Portugal if that matters for anything, and im not going to open up my pc because i have the warranty for 1 y and 2 months still.

If u could help me it would be nice :D

If you can find the BSoD crash dumps, you can post them here and I can deconstruct them and find out what is exactly going on.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

If u show me how to do that ill make sure u get them.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/performance/read-small-memory-dump-file#:~:text=Windows keeps a list of,the %SystemRoot%\Minidump folder.

This will help finding them, and configuring for them if not set up (sometimes windows doesn't set it up right)

How did you check if the disks are fine?

Also, this might be happening due to a loose connection on the disk or a disk issue. We'll need BSOD logs. Check also if you got anything on Event Viewer -> Windows logs -> System.

Keeping drivers up to date never hurts.

Also, there is a setting on your screen shot about "automatically rebooting"

Uncheck that, this will allow Windows to create the dump file.

In addition, you want to change the memory dump files from "automatic"  to "small memory dump" which will put the files in C:\windows\minidump, that's all I will need, plus with the system not automatically rebooting until the files are written, we can see what's what 🙂

99% of the time there would be no issue, but that 1% of the time.....

hold off, let's look at other things 1st. We can update the driver if the issues point to it being a problem (unlikely)

I forgot to say that not always this happens, for example yesterday i didnt try playing any games so I didnt get a BSoD or crash, but today I tried playing Hearthstone and it didnt crash while playing it, but I do know that this game has crashed at least once with this problem.

Well I ended the day while playing League of Legends and after 2 games i went for another but pc bluescreened while in the game and i could read the error was Unexpected Store Exception, which makes me thing all this time the problem was my ssd.

Im going to see if I download a program to check on my Disk, if anyone wants to recommend me one it will be appreciated.

Honestly I just waited and it fixed itself for me. Well, now i get a better experience with bsods and i can actually play when i want to. This is the 2nd time its happening to me and for both waiting worked.

So after all this time, still didnt get any dump files, maybe the storage part that is crashing is the same as the one that deals with the dump, idk.

That's not good, Windows is set to create them.

Time, I think to check the health of that SSD.

HDTune has a sector by sector drive checker built-in, see what it has to say
