okay so a few weeks ago my PC didnt boot up at I thought it was the hard drive so I got a friend to test it for me and he said it worked perfectly. but the hard drive had 0-1 mb of space on it so I went and bought a new drive to transfers all the data over. Although when the Intel ssd (the one is which was not letting me boot from it.) was in it it didn't let me access the bios So I unplugged the way Intel ssd and it let me access the bios non problem. Now I tried doing something with hotswap where I go my brothers HDD out of his laptop and booted into windows on that it recognized my Samsung drive off the bat although when my I plugged in the sata to the Intel drive it didn't reconize it one bit. I am getting really frustrated with this I got to a few points where I was ready flip out and smash my PC. sorry for the bad spelling I'm typing this on my shied.

try going to disk management and check whether the drive has any letter assigned to it or not. If not, assign one and maybe format it if you want to.

Already tried, had no success

Also can't boot into any OS or bios with the Intel drive plugged in.

Also I can't format any of the drives because I don't have money to buy another copy of windows.

When your friend said that he tested the ssd and it was working perfectly, how did he do it? Through bios/os? Define the word 'working perfectly'. Have you transferred all your files to the new drive? Why not try what I just said in his pc first?

But before that, have you try plugging into all the sata connectors on your motherboard? Use different sata cable maybe? And Check to see whether your sata power connector is working. Let's try eliminate all other faulty parts first.

No cd key? There should be a COA sticker with the cd keys on your pc if it is a prebuilt.

That isn't really a valid reason. I had 2 480GB SSD's and they both died the day i installed them and a few hours after i started installing programs on them.

Let me know what and how did he confirmed that the ssd was working perfectly. You can always download the OS if you have the cd key.

I would like to think that ssd is broken but I don't quite see any real reason for it not to let you enter the bios at all, other than your motherboard may be giving the fuss when plugged in with that ssd. Try resetting the bios.

oh oh oh good news okay I found the motherboard manual and found what port port 1 is plugged that let me access the bios but before accessing bios I presented me with a popup saying "the current t bios setting do not fully support the boot device. Click okay to enter bios setup. <line break> Go to advanced > boot > CSM parameters and adjust the csm ( comparability support module) settings to enable the boot device" so I went there and I got several different options and sub options.

All is good then? Save a profile of the current bios setting, just in case this thing happens again in future.
