Battaling Dust

I have a question.

 what is a effective way to dill with dust build up and a good way to prevent it?

 

I'm using compressed air but it doesn't seam to get it all and  no mater what I do it doesn't take long for more to accumulate

Get a case with filtered intakes if you don't already, keep the PC off of carpet, vacuum your room more often/clean it.

putting my PC on my desk seems to make it gather way less dust than i expected, i cleaned my filter once a year and there's barely anything, even though i run mine 24/7 on full load

ya mine is on my desk, but thanks for the advice (both of you), any advise on removing the dust more effectively than just compressed air?

soft brush, but i would argue that's unnecessary unless you want it VERY clean for photography as a light layer of dust barely hinders performance

 

get an air purifier maybe

ESD? Im in a place where atmosphere is really unpredictable But will keep that in mind. ty
