Prebuilt PC?

Go to solution Solved by SignatureSigner,

Funny enough a prebuilt is an OK deal rn with the current parts shortages. I would look at something with a 3060 and a ryzen 5 3600 or something of that caliber. overall I would recomend you build it yourself in a few months. You get more control and its made by you 🙂

Where could I get a decent prebuilt pc for under $900 usd. I have been wanting one so I could play pc games instead of only xbox games and also homework.

I don't recommend buying a PC now. There is a massive CPU/GPU shortage in the us. I'd wait a couple months, then build a PC with an RTX 3060 (or smthn like that)

Do I recommend prebuilt pcs? depends.

Prebuilts are for people who don't know much about pcs and want a streamlined process with one warranty on top to cover everything (with an increased price because of labor)

alright, seems like you fit the consumer base for prebuilt pcs.

If you want, I can recommend you a system and you can send the list to a local pc shop (assuming you have one) that will built it for you. Microcenter (for example) can build your pc for you and even give you recommendations.

its really easy and if you are over the age of 6 it shouldn't take that long.

Also, prebuilts have bad power supplies, motherboards, and SSDS. They also sometimes have problems where certain connectors aren't plugged in. Having a prebuilt is just a hassle.

Save some more money, then in a couple months build a PC, follow build guides, build the PC, update drivers and updates, enable XMP, and your basically done.

Takes 2 hours tops

You live near a microcenter? Yeah just wait for it to finish getting build and then build a PC. They usually have Zen 3 CPUS and Ampere GPUS in stock.

and there is like a company called intrex near where i live i think

Intrex does indeed assemble pcs at 75$. here's a build

881$+75$=956$

a bit over budget, but it should last you a good few years. Intel changes their sockets almost every gen, but you can upgrade to 5600x down the line if you wanted. I had to cut drive space for performance as well, but it's easy to upgrade down the line.

@Downkey build is pretty decent aswell.

you cant. The parts he used are no longer in stock. Not to mention he used a terrible power supply.
