HELP, front panel usb not working

so i just noticed that my front panel usb wont work when i plug my quest 2 or phone into it, the light on the end of my usb c cable works but nothing else does, the weird thing is that when i plug a usb flashdrive into it it totally works no problem. what can i do to troubleshoot/fix this.

 

if you need it my case is a corsair p4000d and my motherboard is an MSI mag b550 tomahawk
