What GPU should I get?

Go to solution Solved by maccannon09,

Budget (including currency): $600 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I will be using this for games such as Minecraft, Rocket league, Fortnite, and more.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):  I have a i5 8400, I am upgrading trying to upgrade from a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. I want to have at least 200 fps on some games because I have a 240 hz Alienware Monitor.

any idea of what i should get though?

Gpus arent selling for msrp right now or anywhere near it so id highly recommend staying with your 1060 because if you buy a gpu now its quite literally the worst time in the past 5 to 10 years to buy one.

Whatever you buy now wont really be worth 600$

if this wasn't on GPU shortage event i would be recommending gtx 1650 or radeon rx 590, if you want RTX well use the 2060, but it will probably blow your budget
