Recently I made 2 posts on heat problems with my new Ryzen 5800x. I could not figure out why it was idling so high. I partially fixed the problem by lowering the vcore. This post is not about that. It was still idling around 50c. So I uninstalled the latest Windows feature update thinking that was the problem. I did this by reverting to an a mirror image I had made a while back. Sure enough the temps lowered back into the 30s at idle. Then I noticed I needed to reinstall Trident Lighting Control so I could turn the flippin lights off. Anyway these pics tell it all. Trident Lighting Control jacked my cpu temps up 10c.
