So my parents pc had an old hard drive, when the upgraded to my old one they got my old HDDs aswell.

So when I put the HDD into the PC, it would boot into windows and then blackscreen and PC would restart.

It would also just direct me to the startup repair. I really don't know what is wrong with it.

If it's broken, so be it. However if it's and I missed something, feel free to say so.

If any additional info is needed just ask.

The drive was a WD Caviar Black 750GB.

Thanks!

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Does it boot in safe mode? it sounds like an OS issue if I'm honest.

No it crashes when I try to boot in safe mode . Problem is I didn't build it and the windows disc I have is windows 7 pro 64 bit while the required version is windows 7 ultimate 32 bit.

Do you have another drive you can boot off, and run this one as a secondary drive.

I've had stuff like this happen before, and plugging it into another computer or running it externally it'll work fine

2600k@4.5GHz ~ H100 ~ Asus P8Z68V-pro gen3 ~ Kingston HyperX 16GB 1600 ~ Sapphire VaporX 7950 ~ Gigabyte DCU 5770 ~ Kingston 128GB HyperX ~ WD black 2TBx2 ~ WD red 4TB ~ Hauppauge HVR2200 ~ Asus BR drive ~ RAT7 ~ Unicomp model-M

That's what I was trying at first. For some reason it prevented the other drives from booting or something.

Buy an external USB hard drive case/dock thing, they are cheap. Or use hot swap if your pc has it.
