Budget (including currency): $400

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Little bit of everything. Light gaming, video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I have been working on a tight budget soi I have been picking things up here and there and im too the point now I need to buy a GPU and a power supply and that is it but when I bought most of the parts 8 months ago or so, GPU prices werent so stupidly high (My kid bought a ZOTAC Gaming GeForce GTX 1650 Super for $185 new on amazon 6 months ago. its now over $400).

My question is, I have a budget right now for the GPU of about $400 (I have a little room to go up if need be) and I can find used GTX 1070 TI's on ebay for about that and wondering if that would work until things come back to reality and I can afford to get a newer RTX card.

Current parts list:

Ryzen 9 3900X

32 gigs (16x2) g.skill Trident Z ram

ASrock B550M Pro4 Motherboard

2tb Seagate Barracuda drive (m.2 drive is on the list as well)

2 - 24" Acer 1080p monitors

Any ideas for options would be great or if going with a GTX 1070 for now would be a good idea. I dont do a ton of gaming but would still like something in bigger than a 4 gig card.

Thank you

If you don't mind paying more than double what the card is actually worth, go for it, personally I"m not a fan of getting ripped off.

Where would you suggest looking or where to buy then? With gpu prices beyond expensive right now, I'm not finding anything for any less. I agree they aren't worth that much but that's what they're going for right now and I don't have anything to finish this thing.

If you are in the US, look at Craigslist.
