I want to get a drawing tablet, but I don’t actually know anything about them, for example I know that mouses have different sensors and certain dpi and all of that, I know how mouses work and I know more less the price for them.

But when it comes to drawing tablets, I don’t know much about them.

I will definitely want a recommendation for entry level tablet, but I also want to know where I can learn about tablets, the same way I know about mouses.

Tldr: what is a good drawing tablet and where I can learn about them?

Really what it comes down to is: does it draw good

If yes

   Get tablet

If no

   Don't get tablet

Sure they have all these specs of perssure levels, many buttons, tilt, touch, floating pen,... but really it all doesn't matter if the tablet itself is a piece of crap.

I mean take for example the wacom intous 3 it's ancient and I used it in 2017 but the drawing experience on it was simply put great. Sure my intous pro 2015 medium was better but that thing was still good to use. So it really just comes down to is it good?

What is your budget? The absolute cheapest I can recommend is the Huion h610. Why not he h640 well it's bigger and the h640 is simply put not comfortable to draw with and too small for easy linework.

If you can spend a bit more I'd say either a used wacom intous pro (2015-2017) or a new wacom intous medium. Why? Well simply put their drawing texture is far better than the huion and they are also just a better experience to draw on. That and they are known to be nigh indestructible.

Also you shouldn't have to learn about them just spend your time on learning the craft you are going to use it for.

Small edit: for wacom never get the smalls they are too small to work comfortably
