Oh that is normal also no need to clean it if it's new. They still use disks and slow hdds so yeah loading will take forever that is totally to be expected.

Give it racing stripes makes it faster

But in all seriousness what is wrong with it? It's slow but in what way? Games load slow? It's having trouble playing games? Low fps?

its common with PS4/PS4 Pro and Xbox Ones.. the drives are slow ass mechanical drives. Load times have always sucked. Only option to speed it up would be to replace the drive with an SSD.

A ssd does very little to improve loadtimes sadly in the 8th gen consoles.

you really cant. Its a hardware limitation. An SSD can help, but wont boost load times greatly like it does on a PC compared to Mechanical drives.

Look up PS4 Pro load times of an HDD vs SSD. If you think it's worthwhile, then go to PCPartpicker and sort SSD's by $/GB and get whatever 1tb or 2tb drive you fancy. The SSD does help, but it not huge, and it depends on the game. The standard/slim PS4 gets no real advantage because of the CPU limitation, but the PS4 Pro does get a noticeable.
