I know a little about computers and built my PC about a year ago. I used my hard drive and ssd from my last pc and later upgraded the ssd. In the last 2 months I have been crashing playing Rust. I thought it was just Rust and my pc not agreeing with it. Then I crashed in a game of TFT which is not demanding AT ALL. I haven't noticed anything triggering the crash except if my computer hasn't been on a while it doesn't crash as quick. Maybe thermal? I normally run pretty cool though and before the last couple months never crashed running anything else. I have broken down my pc and put it back together using different slots a couple times. I replaced my power supply. I have updated just about everything and cannot stop crashing. The game runs smooth with no frame problems or anything until the crash. I scanned my copy of windows that's on the ssd and no problems and I Samsung magician or whatever says its good. Please Help if you have any ideas.

Are you using XMP or OverClocking anything? If so, turn that off.

When you say the game crashes, what error message (if any) do you get?

Does Windows crash?

Have you tested your RAM with MemTest86?

Are you running CoreTemp and GPUTemp for temps of your system?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

The crash is straight to Black screen the only thing left on is the RGB on my ram and its red. Sometimes it restarts and sometimes it requires my to flip the switch on my PSU to get the power button to do anything. I have tried overclocked using default overclocking, It crashes just as frequently as non overclocked. I have overclocked based on individual specs but just basically run stock. I have tried pcie 4.0 and 3.0 with my GPU in either slot and nothing changed there. I will try the memtest now and double check with temps as well. The temp thing is hard to measure because I only have one monitor atm.
