Heya,

so today i wanted to make an own Minecraft Server on my PC.
I wanted to forward my IP, so that my friends can join aswell.

But my Router-Settings only offer IPv6, so i cant forward a IPv4 Address, and the IPv6 doesnt work at my friends.
I already unlocked UDP and TCP in my Firewall and Router, so i dont know how to make it work.

Do you get a public ipv4 address?

You might have to use something like a vpn to a vps so you have a public ipv4 address you can use.

i do get an IPv4, but in my Router settings there's only "IPv6 Host Exposure" , nothing with IPv4.
I've read that this company only rolls out IPv6 to new customer, but im not sure.

Do you have cgnat? Is your routers wan ip the same as your public ip?

Can you get a different router?

cgnat is where the ISP uses nat so people share ipv4 address.

Does your router have a bridge mode or passthough? Can you pay your isp more for a static IPv4 address?
