Quick Question About Cyanogenmod

zarrexx

Hi, I am Thinking to install cyanogenmod on my HTC ONE, alrough the only problem that is stopping me right now is: Will beats audio toggle in the settings still be there? Is there any way to install settings toggles in notifications menu as on the stock sense because I find it really nice.

Thanks for all help in advance!

Beats will never be included with CM. It is proprietary and closed source.

You can use the DSP manager to boost the bass, since that's all the beats audio does.

Linux "nerd".  If I helped you please like my post and maybe add me as a friend :)  ^_^!

What about the Sense notification toggles, you can just click them right from the bar, But in stock android and CM it brings you to settings, is there a way to configure it in CM or an app for it?

No, Cyanogenmod does not have Beats. Cyanogenmod does have "DSP Manager" though, which lets you do exactly the same thing as beats (make the bass muddier) if you want.

Beats is just a system wide EQ which is always set to increase bass. DSP Manager is a system wide EQ which you can actually control.

Not quite sure what you mean by this. I am pretty sure both stock Android/CM and HTC Sense are the same as far as the settings goes. Single swipe down for notifications. Two finger swipe for quick toggles.

what i mean is, On the HTC in the toggles when you press them it configures them straiht away rather than opening up a shortcut to settings, eg on htc I just press turn off the WIFI, but on CM it brings me to the WIFI menu in settings

Yes it works the same in Cyanogenmod, and I am pretty sure it works the same in stock Android. When I press the WiFi symbol in my quick toggles, it turns the WiFi off. If I do a long press on the WiFi toggle, it brings me to the settings.

Usually a little more mass storage and my battery life seems a little better with CM11 (S4)

Cyanogenmod doesn't have that Beats Audio crap (not saying it because it's Beats, BTW.) It's just a software solution for boosting bass, lows, mids, highs, etc.

There are other solutions, like DSP Manager and such. _ASSASSIN_ would be happy to tell you more I am sure.

Normally, ROMs have battery enhancement optimizations that help to improve battery life.

Well I am running Cyanogenmod on my Nexus 10 so I am not sure how it will affect you. You will probably get a bit more storage, but I doubt your battery life will change by any meaningful amount.

I personally run Viper4android because it has more features than the silly Cyanogen DSP manager which does barely anything
