What cpu should I use please help!!!

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Csgo, valorant, Fortnite, apex, cod

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): complete new build, Have all my peripherals need help with my cpu choice.

I’m planning on going 5600x but want a lower end cpu if possible with similar FPS in these games. Any recommendations would be appreciated

r3 3100 should do you plenty fine. But if you plan on going on to harder and cpu intensive games you should get the 3600

Depends on your game. At 1440p high, both should run at 144hz unless it's MS flight sim. Get the 3600
