I went on holiday to another country and left my PC on with quantum cloud on to mine while I'm not using it, and as its on 24/7 when I check it using chrome remote desktop I found the PC to be unusually slow and when I checked in task manager I saw that i had 14Gb of RAM out of 16 used, the PC has no other apps open other than ASUS GPU Tweak II, a restart usually fixes the problem but i just fid myself curious as to why this is happening

Well I suppose all the mining and sharing does use up RAM, no?  Also, curious, how much do you make with this / day? is it really worth it? they say it gets transferred directly to your paypal, I might just join the dark side depending on how much you make (I'm not paying for electricity anyway lol)

i check and quantum cloud seems to be using the GPUs memory only not the RAM, windows on its own is just eating up the ram I'm just curious as to why

and yes this is very worth it considering you have the 3070 (lucky) you'll make even more than i do which is around $2.50 a day with a 2070 super, they have quick payments too max of 3 days until it is directly paid to PayPal. if you ever get into using this overclocking the memory on your graphics card seems to increase the money you make considerably 10/10 reccomend if you have any of the 30 series cards or 2070 super and above

I see thanks for the info. And I agree it could be Windows itself using up that ram... not sure how to fix that tbh.

there's a little program that could help tho, not sure if you can install it remotely.

INTELLIGENT STANDBY LIST CLEANER

by wagnardsoft... highly recommended, it frees up a lot of ram and you can configure it too!  🙂
