Before I go into details im currently running

●gamemax kage case
●Tomahawk b450 max
●Ryzen 5 3600
●Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3600 MHz
● Red dragon rx 5600 xt gpu
●wd 500gb m.2 ssd
●baracuda 2tb hd
●corsair rm750W

Most the time i am gaming on Destiny 2, on highest settings and will be using 35%-40%  gpu with the occasional spike. and even lower cpu usage. But something weird keeps happening i cant work out.

When i originally launch the game the colour saturation is massively oversaturated untill i Alt+Tab out and back into game. Also if someone joins or leaves party chat (using xbox chat on pc) the screen temporarily (0.5seconds) goes blank, colour fully saturates for another few seconds, blank again for another 0.5s then is fine.

Most the time this is a small nuisance but if multiple people joining and leaving chat it makes it almost impossible to play.  What could be the cause of this. Please help

Sounds to me like a windows or interfering software problem.  Software at any rate

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Thankyou, i was leaning towards that idea myself, how would i find out what software is causing it without uninstall/reinstall one program at a time.  (Sorry im fairly new to pc gaming / builds)

Safe mode would be one way, as that turns off everything.  Wouldn’t tell you which app, but it could confirm whether or not it is one.  Safe mode is an unreasonable pain to get at in win10.  Requires at least one restart.  After that it’s just disable and renable stuff till you figure out what app is doing it.  Without knowing what you’ve got I have no idea what might be the culprit and there’s a pretty good chance I wouldn’t be able to tell if you listed them.  Tedium in your future I’m afraid.
