I'm getting these fps drop / stutters in all games I play. It happens like a handful of times in 30 minutes, sometimes more, sometimes less. What could the cause be for this? I've tried changing RAM, GPU & SSD but nothing worked. Specs are the following:

PSU: Corsair RM550x
CPU: I5-10400f
SSD: Samsung 970 EVO
Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B460-PLUS
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 C16 / 2x8 GB
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 SC

I dont know if this could be it, but I know that a 600W(or above) is recommended for a GTX 1080. I also dont see any frame drops/ stutters in the video...

Look at the FPS at the top right corner if you don't see the stutter, it goes from 240 to 179 in a sec and then back to 240. Definitely noticeable in a FPS game where you have to react fast. As for the PSU I think it's big enough, as far as my research goes. Ty for the reply though.

I think that's normal, FPS does not stay at a super high count normally. What settings and resolution are you playing at? As for the stutter, any background tasks? (include discord)

It's definitely not a normal stutter, I've never had something like this before in my 15 years of gaming. As for my settings it depends on the game, in CSGO I have everything on low and even use 1280x1024 resolution and it still stutters. In TFT as the video I think everything is on low & 1080p. I've tried closing every background task to see if it made a difference, but I still got stutters.

And have you tried optimizing Windows 10 for your needs? Because that fixed my stuttering issue almost on all computers. Check this video out to do that. Thats most likely your case. If you kept your Windows 10 settings at stock then its obvious.

Everyone I know have windows 10 stock settings and they don't have stutters like this, my last PC was on stock settings too and didn't have this issue. Might try it as a last resort though.

Yes i understand your point but that doesnt need to necessarily mean that your current computer wont experience stutters because of stock win 10 settings. Please do and come back to me after testing the game you were experiencing the stutters on.

I'll try it in a couple of days, it just looks a bit sketchy so I'm a bit hesitant.

I tried doing the windows debloat and it sadly didn't work. I just had a csgo game where it happened like 20 times. Could it be my PSU that is faulty? I'm about to go to a 5600x, after I get that in hand there's only PSU left IF it still happens. Hopefully not.
