First pc build. Confused which monitor to buy please help!!!

ImNotABot

I’m building a budget pc. I want a monitor within $200-$250 which would be ips 144hz 1ms and would last long without any problems and reliable. I’ll use it for gaming and for some content creation
Which one should I buy?

acer vg240ys

msi g241

aoc 24g2

aoc 24g2u

The Acer would be the most user-friendly and reliable at the same time out of all of them IMO.

  • CPU: AMD 3700x
  • Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO RGB
  • Motherboard: MSI x570 tomahawk wifi
  • Memory: Teamforce Delta RGB DDR4-3000 16 GB
  • Graphics Card: EVGA 1660 SC ULTRA
  • Case: Fractal Design Meshify C
  • PSU: Fractal Design Ion 660w
  • OS: Win 10 Pro
  • Case fans: Sickleflow 120 RGB (3-pack)

Nothing I say is guaranteed to be correct, please remember this. I'm still learning every day.

Feedback is appreciated!

(in other words i can say stupid stuff so double check what i say)

Have you used msi monitors (especially g241) ? How is the quality and reliability and did you ever face any problems or any issues?

Never used an acer monitor, only an acer laptop (acer nitro 5).

yes, i have. quality and reliabillity was good for sure, i liked it. don't know anything about this specific monitor though, so maybe don't take my word for it and look at some reviews from stuff like toms hardware, pc world, and techspot.

Thanks I’ll look for more reviews. Also should I consider monitor with inbuilt speaker or not?

I think I’ll look for some review before coming to a decision.

FYI.

Toms Hardware display 'reviews' are very basic, I wouldnt hold them in high regard for useful information.

Pcworld dont do monitor reviews, their site consist mainly of news articles and 'overviews' (subjective opinions and advertised spec overviews).

Techspot is ok though, their site just doesnt have a good search and sort function. Its fine if u know of a specific model u want to check for a review of.

I suggest u read through my pinned thread on how to choose a monitor.

CPU: Intel i7 3930k w/OC & EK Supremacy EVO Block | Motherboard: Asus P9x79 Pro  | RAM: G.Skill 4x4 1866 CL9 | PSU: Seasonic Platinum 1000w Corsair RM 750w Gold (2021)|

VDU: Panasonic 42" Plasma | GPU: Gigabyte 1080ti Gaming OC & Barrow Block (RIP)...GTX 980ti | Sound: Asus Xonar D2X - Z5500 -FiiO X3K DAP/DAC - ATH-M50S | Case: Phantek Enthoo Primo White |

my experience with inbuilt monitor speakers haven’t been good. I suggest getting an external audio device, even headphones.

Build:

Then I’ll no with no speaker monitor. I think on my budget I’ll get msi g241 or aoc 24g2 cuz acer vg240ys have inbuilt speaker in it
