hey all

i dont speak english i will try to explain my case the best i could:

so my rig is the follow:

r5 2600 no oc

mb asus b450m pro gaming

2x8 gbs ram corsair lpx vengeance 3000mhz

so im using my rams on slot:  A2 and B2

no problems at all, at 3000mhz 16gbs total

my rams are ok,tested with memtest and windows memory tool

no problems

the problem is: when i enable DOCP on my board on slots  A1 and B1 the pc wont turn on,i mean is on,but keeps rebootings itself until i have to go to my BIOS, and set everything to defaults,if i enable the DOCP profile keeps restarting.

and if its works 9only works at the lowest speed that is 2133.

so what can i do?

i have the latest BIOS also.

but is it normal on slot A1 and B1? the problem i explained?

Yes, because the designated default slots (for most all boards) is slots A2 and B2..

If you add 2 more sticks and populate all 4, the chances to run DOCP profile becomes much less because of the stress on the memory controller.

Further more, your processor, the 2600, memory controller actually only support 2933mhz opposed to 3000mhz, so you have a 66mhz overclock already.

i see,but if i buy another stick, the same model, and i install it on slot 1 or 3 will it a run at the same speed? or 2133 like i installed them on slot 1 and 3

thank you

It would probably run at a lower speed and in single channel, which will reduce performance.

Buy 2 more sticks, or best option, buy a 4 stick set, and sell your old kit.

Expected frequency on 4 sticks of LPX 3000mhz memory would be actually 2666mhz at best without a lot of user intervention and memory training to go faster. (advanced users)

thats sucks, i see one stick cheap where i live cant afford 2 stick at the same time, so if buy 2 of them same model, the whole sticks will run at 2666right?  with DOCP ENABLED?
is much there a big perfomance from 3000 to 2666?

You can use the DOCP timings at lower speeds yes.

A little performance difference yes. Faster is better. If you don't use all 16GB now, then save your money and just use what you have at higher speeds.
