I do? I'm not sure what I'm looking for though. 

 

Just because you need more work doesn't mean you can't take good pictures.

For a $200 to $300 price range, I recommend :

 

1. Sony WX300

2. Panasonic Lumix X7

3. Nikon V1

I'm currently using my dad's old Canon 350D. You can get them used with the stock lens for about 150€ ($150 in the US, maybe) these days. It can't shoot video, but otherwise I'm happy with it.

 

I was thinking about saving up for a Sony RX100 or RX100 II, since many seem to like those, but then decided that the trusty old Canon gets the job done and that there's no need to upgrade. At least not yet.

I'd say get a cheap body to pair up with a beautiful 50mm, the glass in front of your camera is more important than the body itself.

It will give you amazing looking pictures and won't break the bank.
