@RONOTHAN##Okay, I bought a cpu mounting kit and it's compatible with the LGA 1151 but when I compared the stand offs between the ones that came with the cooler and the ones in the mounting kit I just bought, they were about 2 mm longer and I didn't know if that would be a substantial difference.

You might have bought one for the wrong cooler. Corsair has a bunch of different mounting mechanisms depending on cooler, so it's possible that one cooler is 2mm taller than another, causing your issue
