DisplayPort no Signal (and other issues)

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently using an ASUS ROG Swift ROG PG248Q monitor connected to an ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1070 OC 8GB graphics card. I don't have any other displays. Just a '1' monitor setup.

The cable that I'm using is a male-to-male DisplayPort.

There would be times that whenever I try to power on my PC, the message "DisplayPort no signal" appears and the monitor won't turn on (the light indicator is blinking though) but the PC was running and fans would be spinning as usual. The troubleshooting I would do in these situations is to remove power connector of the monitor and switch the DisplayPort's connection on the GPU and somehow it would work again.

One of the first things I did when I bought he monitor and PC altogether was to change the refresh rate from 60hz to 120hz. I'm not sure if this is one of the causes.

Additionally, whenever I alt-tab on some games (Like League of Legends), there would be times that the display would be "distorted" and the monitor won't turn on (the light indicator is blinking however).

What do I do?
