What should I get

Hey guys right now i have a Intel Pentium g3220 it has 2 core and 2 threads i play Minecraft (as example)

At 150 med settings and 600 when i look up low settings will my fps increase if i get a 2core 4 threads CPU ? I wanna get a i3 4170

Not really worth it.  Here's a couple of options.  Depending on your motherboard, you can probably get an Intel i5 for around $70.  This would be the cheapest option.  i5 3470, 4570, 4590 are on Amazon for $70 to $80 and probably fit your board.  That would be a true 4c processor and be a huge upgrade.

 

Shop used on eBay for a CPU/Motherboard combo.

 

Look for pre-built machines with a 10th gen i3... modern CPU, DDR4 ram, m.2 drive
