Can those things cause low framerate/performance?

Can underpowered PSU or old/damaged drive that windows is installed on cause low framerate?

I nearly swapped my whole pc, psu and drive are the only things left and i still got the same problems as i did have before i bought cpu, gpu, mobo and other stuff.

Still got crashes in certain games and low fps. For a moment i thought its the cloud saving thing caused it but after turning it off and reinstalling everything still the same.

Like cmon my friends having 680gtx setups got much better performance than me in everything.

My setup:

Gtx 1660 6gb (Palit)

Ryzen 5 1600af

msi b450 pro max

Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 C16 2x8GB

Chiefec ECO 500W psu

And the drive where my system is installed on is INTENSO 128GB

how the games crash? that is very bad psu but likely not the culprit.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

For example im playing Garry's Mod and after loading map a second - fourth time the game crashes. Im also using SourceFilmmaker which is a software to animate made by valve. I get low fps in it when grabbing a bone of a character, ive had the exact same problem 2 years back with gt9600 and some intel duo cpu.

if you had the problem for a while it might be due to the psu or the SSD.

also all drivers up to date? gpu, chipset and bios?

Do i download one or all three?

the first one.

if that did not help download "CrystalDiskMark" and run the benchmark. if it crashes or something the problem lies on the ssd

Everything seems to be fine i guess, i forgot to tell one thing, i gotta turn on my pc like 10 times before it normally runs cause my front built in cooling fan goes crazy and loud, if the pc turns on with it running loud the screen goes black after some time.

The ssd has veru slow write speeds anyway, it passed the test so no problem there.

the cooling fan thing is odd. i would update the latest chipst and bios to see if the issue is still there.

also when swithing systems like you, it is recommended to reinstall windows, since problems liek this may start happening

Did you ever fully reinstall windows. As in wipe the drive and install it from a usb?

Also that psu is a dumpsterfire would not be suprised if it's also causing problems

I never installed it from a new usb maybe i should try.

Yeah if you do a whole system swap and keep the old windows these issues are normal. Either way get a better quality psu from the psu tier list b tier or better.

You don't migrate it you install it fresh. Just unhook any drive you don't want it on if you want to be really sure, get a bootable win 10 usb from the official windows media creation tool and done.
