Laptop screen

Charred

Hi everyone

Hoping somebody could help. my laptop screen went whilst using it when it first started to happen the bottom half of the display flickered then it stayed like this. Is it an easy repair as I brought it of pc specialist and it will cost £35 just to send it to them to inspect.

The laptop is a tongfang GK5CN6Z.

Thanks in advance

Depends on how skilled you are and the difficulty of dissembling your laptop. But generally speaking once you've taken it apart it's usually a case of unplugging the display, taking it out, putting a new one and plugging it back in to the motherboard (assuming the connector is not soldered).

Depending on the laptop too the price of the screen will vary.

It could be a display cable issue rather than the display itself.
