Is the brightness of a Projector higher if I use the minimum zoom (smallest screen) given same throw distance?

Screen size doesnt really matter to me, the effectiveness of the brightness (lumens) matters more to me as i use it daytime. i'm using px747 with ambient light. it's OK but blacks really suck... hoping my reflective gray screen will significantly improve this.

Sure, the smaller the screen the more "dense" the same amount of light is, so brighter.

"Blacks" are still always going to be as bad as the ambient light.
