Deliding Pentium E5300

I have an old Pentium and I'd like to have some fun with it. I was thinking about deliding and overclocking (I read that some people got to 4 GHz). Is deliding even worth? And if which thermal compound should I use?

Well it's basically a low-end Wolfdale Core2 Duo. So it's not really worth anything except the fun I guess. I had a e7300 a while back. It had a 10x multiplier on a 1066Mhz bus for 2.66Ghz stock, and I got it up to 4Ghz on a 1600Mhz bus easy.  The e5300 has a 13x multiplier on a 800Mhz bus, so it's even more flexible. Sounds fun I guess.

Usually liquid metal makes the most sense because if you are putting in the effort to delid, you might as well use the best. But in this case, it's a Core2 Duo, so whatever.

They don't get hot so there isn't any need to delid.
