Windows 10 Home goes for $139, tomshardware.com

Yea it appears as if the discount I was referring to is no longer available. You can get windows 10 for $109.99 at Newegg though.

No. You don't even have a gpu it cannot display anything. If your total budget is 700$ and you need everything then well you are kinda out of luck here. Especially with current pricing.

That and the only decent parts in this thing are the cpu and the corsair k55. Everything else is just bad to terrible.

That PC build is way better than the original one, but you didn't take into consideration that windows 10 is like $89.99. Also the likeliness of finding ANY graphics card even marginally close to realistic pricing is pretty poor at the moment unfortunately. You might want to consider waiting a little while to build a new system.

This system will work but it's so extremely overpriced due to no stock and how high the prices are due to it.

Why this one?

Case has airflow so your system won't overheat

Board isn't garbage

Ram can only run at 2666mhz speed and this is the cheapest 16gb kit out there right now

Psu isn't a know psu that fails/kills components.

This is on a budget of 600

Simply put how the market is right now you aren't getting a decent system for under 700$. You could get a nice gaming pc last year in march for 500$ but those same systems are now well over 700$

Just get a key from ebay for 3$ with paypal no risk and cheap as can be or just don't activate windows

Yea windows keys can be had for almost nothing on eBay, and they have a money back guarantee. In addition, Windows 10 is already free to download.

cheaper, yet not smarter

Why not? It's just a windows key. It will work for years and if it does get deactivated after some years just get another one. It will be cheaper no matter what and with paypal you have no risk so I'd say it's a pretty smart way to save 1/6th of your budget and spend it on stuff that would actually get you to game.

well yes, ofc im going to wait for prices to drop, it's high as mount everest

Then ask the question again when they do because as of now you aren't getting anything decent for your budget.

Also just some general advice get a mesh front case those will allow for just massively better airflow compared to a closed front case with some small (even big vents don't do much) vents on the side of the front panel.

Also with a psu it's quality over anything else. The evga br series are crap and just die when they need to run too long at their rated wattage.

I would as you really need all the money you can get for this. Besides you can always just not activate windows and it will still work like normal just with a watermark in the right lowest corner saying it's not activated. Buying full retail windows would cripple the system to no end.

or should i just bag this whole entire project and buy this https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/NH.Q59AA.002

I mean it's ok. That laptop has it's fair share of issues because of the price it launched at and will become outdated extremely fast since the new consoles are here with no means to upgrade anything that would have a significant impact. Still at best it's an ok laptop for sure low quality.
