Might not be in the right category to ask this question, but will a 5600x and 3080 fe be ok for 1440p gaming and general use?

Just looking to see what others think of a 5600x and 3080 fe combo for 1440p gaming and general computing.

That's reassuring. I saw linus use the combo in a gaming rig and with the approval of some other tech experts on the combo, I thought it would be a good price to performance pairing for 1440p gaming. I actually own a 1440p 240hz display and was thinking that the combo would do a good job pumping frames to the 240 mark for esports titles and maintaining good fps with more intensive games as well. In addition, do you think I will be able to hold on to that combo for a couple years? Or will I be back on newegg for a upgrade in 12 months? Kind of a hard question to answer as it depends on some other factors but thought I would ask anyway.
