motherboard sata problem

I have a Aorus X570 Pro Wifi, had issues with the sata ports from day 1. m.2 works great. Tried new drivers, new bios. Set up a sata drive the partition disappears, have make a new one, hour later gone again. swapped my board for a x570 my dad had, all other components are the same, everything works fine. any ideas. talking to gigabyte to see if i can get a RMA on this board. wonder if anyone has ever seen this issue??
