help with upgrading gaming build

Robert.99

Budget (including currency): 1500 US Dollar

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My Current build

planning on upgrading CPU Memory Motherboard and Graphics Card within about 3 months with this Build on pcpartpicker.com it has a note: The Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero ATX AM4 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it.  Will this EPS 8 Pin Splitter work or should I buy this power supply or if you can let me know of a RGP Power Supply from Thermaltake that will work with Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero

No point in getting an rgb psu since the case has a psu shroud.

Try and get a 5600X. It is significantly better than the 3600X.

Most 750W and higher capacity psu have additional eps connectors. But, as the pcpartpicker note indicates there really isn't a need for the additional 4-pin power.

Why such an expensive motherboard? Consider a less expensive model.

I'd suggest getting a 2x16GB memory kit. This will leave two slots open for upgrading.

You might consider a 1TB NVMe drive.
