Gigabyte RX 5600 XT - bios upgrade

amof1av

I've been having issues with my screen locking up and then turning black. I need to hard restart it each time. All of my drivers are current. However, I noticed my GPU had a bios from 2019. After looking at the gigabyte support page I'm unable to determine which updated bios i need.

Shameless bump. really not wanting to brick my GPU by pushing the wrong bios upgrade.

You can upgrade to any BIOS version so long as it is the same product and there are no "First upgrade to" instructions in the description panel. In this case, you can pick any of the three upper BIOS versions (FA1, F61, F3). However, I have seen in other forums that the F3 is relatively more stable than the other two, so maybe start there. If problems persist, just use any of the other BIOS versions and if none of the three fix your problem, flash the fourth F2 BIOS, which should be the most stable. If the problems persist, then it is not a BIOS issue. Hope this helps.
