I noticed my cpu was running at 100% with almost nothing running, tried troubleshooting the issue to no luck.  Thought I’d just restart the system from scratch, formatted my hdd and then the pc was unable to read it.  Confused, tried to reinstate the former setup, no luck. Desided  to reboot the system and start from zero. Went thru the steps.  And now I can’t load windows on to my M dot, and unable to see to load from the extra hard drive.  Handed my system off to a friend, but everything he tried was in failure.  Anyone have any thoughts on this?  Getting the system back today, haven’t been able to use it since Dec, 31st 2020 two hours before midnight.

thank you for your time.

(also: even tho the cpu was reading at 100% I wasn’t seeing any slow down in the system. I was concerned about it just sitting there at max. )

You probably just broke your computer trying to format your drives from what I can read. Can you see the drives in your BIOS menu?

Just got the pc back, I think I was still able to see them, I know before trying to reload windows I was able to see them and pair the two HDDs together. But didn’t want to have them paired back up.  I’m about to plug it back in and see where I stand with it. Planing on working with it in the morning.

thanks for the reply.

replaced the SSD drive with a new 32GB/512GB Optane drive. (on it right now.)  Found the second two drives and had to pool them to get access to them.  Missing half my software and trying to reload some of it.

Thanks for the help and the suggestion.  It helped me trouble shoot.
