Is OCCT good for stress test?

Is OCCT good for testing the cpu temps and ram stability

I will be buying the 5800x with nh-d15 cooler so I want to check the temps

If OCCT is not good enough what to use

Give your opinions please

Thanks!

For RAM there are better methods like Memtest86+

Is the free version good enough for normal testing?

Yes, it is.

And I'd recommend Memtest86+ over Memtest86.

Yup OCCT is great for CPU stress testing.

For GPU maybe FurMark stress test.

Furmark earlier had some issues with physical damage to gpu so some manufacturers put a cap on performance when you run furmark

CPU - OCCT, from OCCT page:

Quote
Which test is the best at detecting hardware errors ?

CPU:OCCT, Large data set, with Auto number of threads is, hands-down, what will detect CPU/Memory/Motherboard stability issues faster.

Which test puts the most stress on the CPU ?

If you have an Intel CPU, try the latest Linpack version available. OCCT's CPU Test with Small data set is the best on AMD CPUs, and a close second on Intel CPUs.

CPU and RAM - Asus Real Bench

RAM - HCI memtest, read how to use it. I would test it until it reaches 1500% coverage.

GPU - Some test from Unigine.

Did not have that info.

Then maybe use Unigine Heaven loop.
