Memtest86 won't boot

Go to solution Solved by Tan3l6,

You also need UEFI and Legacy boot set:

I made a bootable thumb drive long time ago which I think worked on other PCs.

When I try to boot it from my Crosshair hero VIII and press enter it redirects me to W10.

What is the problem?

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

Try with a different computer. Some thumb drives won't work on certain boards. Also if the pc you made that boot drive on has bad memory, it is likely that some files where not copied correctly.

If the mobo is UEFI (as indicated int he pic) and the USB stick was done in legacy mode, it's not gonna boot. You'll need to re-make the USB stick with UEFI mode.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Enable Legacy Mode in Boot options and it should launch.

It's enabled.
